Good weather and sastrugies

The expedition is still experiencing good weather conditions. Yesterday (27/04) they skied 18 km in 6 active hours in slow NW wind. The temperatures were between -11°C and -6°C. The slow wind speed and “warm temperatures” made them feel very hot. A lonely fulmar appeared from the sky watched them a then decided it was better to head back towards the ocean. Now the glacier is becoming rougher and sastrugies might slow them down a bit.

For dinner in the bigger tent they had soup, pasta with cheese and broccoli sauce, and for dessert chocolate and cognac.
