Jean-David has been guiding groups around the world for over 25 years. Since 2018 he has returned to East Greenland every season.
In his own words, there is something in the air out there that is hard to find elsewhere. Outside of the villages there’s no running water, no shops & limited phone signal. Just the essentials. Life stripped back to what matters
He is also quick to point out that what you do in East Greenland is not really trekking. It is an expedition. No marked trails. Rivers, scree and glaciers to cross. You rely on yourself and the people around you. That, he says, is exactly what makes it unforgettable.
